Interview
The Case for Investing in Automation Now
How has your production process changed over the past few years?
We've moved from largely manual converting lines to a mix of semi-automated and fully automated systems. It wasn't cheap, but the quality consistency and output gains paid for themselves within about eighteen months.
What's your advice to manufacturers who haven't automated yet?
Start with quality inspection and packaging — those are usually the fastest wins. And come talk to the machinery exhibitors at events like this one; you'll see options you didn't know existed.
